3rd of March 2010

I don’t usually like text posts, but whatever, this is mainly nonsense I’ve been thinking about for the last three or four days.

(I’m not terribly wonderful about getting my point across, and so this can and will most likely be disregarded as dribble.)

It just seems obvious to me, that
the fight for the good life boosts economy, a strong economy means a more powerful nation.

Fame is a drill sergeant, built to destroy us and rebuild us. it tells us that we will never be perfect enough, then turns around and informs us that dreams really do come true.

It’s brilliant.

I’m not exactly sure what we’re fighting against? I mean, in the off chance that the green movement isn’t a way to pacify us until we die a firey solar flare death, or that we wont suddenly be sucked into a black hole/killed by the wrath of god in 2012, or that nuclear warfare will surely ensue sooner rather than later, we will certainly become mind controlled fleshbots, told what and when to consume, disney drones set to create a palette for a perfect nation.

But honestly, how would we rather have this done:

The hard way?

A sudden onslaught of holocaust race purification, alex delarge mind conditioning and so on or:

The easy way?

Lady Gaga, bubbly pop personas telling us to buy buy buy, consume, get a swimming pool and a nose job, rid yourself of those nasty thoughts, god is in your tv, don’t you worry about hell.

Is the fight against the morally corrupt? The people who seek to take our free will and therefore elevate themselves to god status?

Let’s see who has received god status, and continues to uphold that position:

Cher
Madonna
The Beatles
Elvis
Obama (who I think is more of a pop icon than a political one anymore.)
Marilyn Monroe
Sports Stars
Countless iconic brands/labels

and so on.

There are our beloveds, they make us dance, entertain us, show us what’s new next now, hip, hot, edgy. when they die, we mourn, not everyone may like them, but the majority does, and majority rules.

Those who have been blatant about a new world order, adopted a “my way or the highway” attitude are more often than not killed/brought down, amiright? You catch more flies with honey than you do vinegar!

So it seems here that fighting the morally corrupt is pointless, because choosy hitler bitches aren’t PC and have no place in the future society of corporate buyer unity, where everyones money is good regardless of race.

And fighting the icons, the ones who are actually doing the brainwashing, the enforcers of the “thing” is equally as pointless, if not more, because they’re supposed to be the good guys. The idols, the teenage dream. And really, don’t you enjoy boppin’ along to Abba every once in a while? Or something equally as pop and catchy?

So what are we doing here? Crying because instead of being thrust into an oven we’re being subjected to Miley Cyrus? (Who is so last week, by the way.)

Let’s say that we do kill the pop beast, we bring down the label. What is left? What isn’t pop, when you think about it? Everything has achieved cult status, whether it’s the genre of music you listen to, or the brand of green beans you buy.

Are we supposed to destroy excitement? Is that evil? What about sex? Are we allowed to indulge in the phenomena that is sex? The thing everyone knows about and covets, in their own way? Maybe it’s just my age, but I can’t fathom a world without pop, and I don’t even want to, this is what we have become and I have accepted it and come to love it.

Maybe I’m just a pussy, maybe I’m just submissive, maybe the brainwashing has already started kicking in, it’s all possible.

But until they come up with a cure for old age and death, I’m here on this earth for a short amount of time. I don’t want to spend it kicking and screaming, fighting a pointless battle.

The only way to counter this attack is to get off on it, to be aware of it.

Realize what’s happening and revel in it, revel in the genius and hilarity of being brainwashed by a woman in a Kermit the frog suit.

Anyway, back to posting pictures.
